Jon Sueda


A native of Hawaii, Sueda has practiced graphic design everywhere from Honolulu to the Netherlands. After returning to school to receive his MFA in Graphic Design from CalArts in 2002 Jon was invited to North Carolina State University as a designer in residence, followed by a stint in Holland where he did an internship with Studio Dumbar.In 2004 he founded Stripe, a collaborative graphic design studio based in San Francisco. Sueda's work has exhibited internationally by London's Architectural Association's Forms of Inquiry andCalifornia Dream at Galerie Anatome in Paris. He recently curated the exhibition Wide White Space at the CCA Wattis Institute and is the graphic designer for the 12th Istanbul Biennial in September 2011.He has recently launched a new design publication called "Task Newsletter." His clients include Art Center College of Design, CalArts, Chronicle Books, Nothing Moments Publishing, REDCAT Gallery, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Studio Museum in Harlem, USC Roski School of Fine Arts, and CCA Wattis Institute for Contemporary Arts.
