Olfactive Studio - Chambre Noire

Olfactive Studio is a french label launched in 2011 whose concept is the link between contemporary art and the art of perfume. Photographers and perfumers have joined their experiences in order to find the right smell of 5 images. Chambre noire was born with the collaboration between the photographer Clémence René-Bazin and the perfumer Dorothée Piot (Robertet). Chambre Noire is a mysterious and sensual perfume. ''Chambre Noire reveals itself from the shadows using the spotlight of the vibrant top note.A fragrance to be shared in the privacy of some far-off hotel room. It reveals its character gradually, exuding sensual notes of leather against a backdrop of warmth and opulence.''
I absolutely loved it! It is my favorite of this line, but I suggest to discover the entire collection because there are some surprises and I herd girls loving Lumiere Blanche.
The opening of Chambre Noire with pink pepper (schinus) top notes reveal an intense, warm and round woody oriental leathery perfume with notes of violet and incense. I like the plum notes that  give that fruity sweet acidity to it and the vanilla plays with the violet a nice link of sweetness and floral vitality under the dark leathery and incense notes. Wow. Love it! It is a unisex sensual elegant perfume, which slowly turns in a more feminine scent, but for the first couple of hours it is an unisex 100%. Even if the violet is present, it is not a light floral scent, but a dark leathery one. It doesn’t really remind me of a dark room. The smell of the acids is intense and not pleasant, but it could better represent the moment in which you start seeing the image coming up of the sensitive paper.
